Our First-ever Fully Online Retreat Was a Success!

Cindy and I just finished our first-ever fully-online writing retreat. I'll admit I went into it with some worries: can I create the same sense of community when we're all in different states? Does the healing, grounding power of morning yoga in the morning and meditation in the evening lose strength delivered digitally? Will the writing and publishing information and support translate across computer screens? Will every woman there feel heard, seen, and get all her questions answered?

With joy and love, I'm happy to report that the answer to all of the above is "yes!" A huge part of that is thanks to the amazing, nurturing mind-body practices of Cindy Hager, who has a voice like cinnamon honey. And it sure didn't hurt that every one of the women in attendance came with an open heart, vulnerability, and mountains of talent.

Phew. We'd intended to lead this five-day retreat in the mountains of Colorado and were able to create something different but just as special online. So much gratitude today. Look for announcements about future online retreats because we just may have stumbled onto something incredible here. 🌞

p.s. Let us know in the comments (or via email: jlwritingretreats@gmail.com) if you’re potentially interested in an online retreat and if so, what dates. We’ll put it in the mix with the rest of our planning.
